Foreigner

The Samaritan was the only one who gave thanks to Jesus for his healing. And, it was a Samaritan woman who Jesus had his longest conversation with. It is a Samaritan who starred in Jesus’ epic story about being a good neighbor. Jesus talked to people outside of his neighborhood and religious tradition as an act of faithfulness to his tradition! Jesus isn’t so insecure about his faith that he can’t celebrate the faith of foreigners. The very Jesus who some use as a wedge between Christians and everybody else interacted with foreigners. In fact, he marveled at their faith.
Luke 17:18
