Oh Roy! You will be missed so dearly. Ellis and Betsy truly loved seeing you at church every week and hearing about your animals. The visit to your farm was a highlight of the year.
Heaven is brighter with you there!
I was extremely fond of Roy, he will be missed by everyone. He was one of the kindest, most inspirational men I have ever met. Prayers for his family. Rest in peace Roy.
Years ago when St. Alban’s was feeding the children at the Felker Center after school, Roy always went to a local bakery and came back with really nice cookies and cupcakes. He always had the biggest smile when he was handing them to the children. He was always so generous. I will miss him.
Every Sunday he had something to tease me about. God will have another Angel in heaven. The best picnic I have been to in my 80 years at Roy’s farm. Something I will always remember about a conversation with Roy about a friend who was in an abusive relationship. Roy looked at me and said maybe you and I should take this man out behind the woodshed for a talk!
No one has given more of his talent, time, and treasuries to St. Albans than Roy. From the first day I met him, he became my mentor, friend, and Christian example. We will all miss him so very much. The Lord gave him to lead us when things were really tough at St. Albans. Now that things are more stable, his work here at St. Albans was nearly done and the Lord was ready to bring him home to receive his crown of glory. Thanks Roy and we shall meet again.
St. Alban’s has lost a great member. Roy was kind and generous to us all. He will be so greatly missed. Sympathy to his family and God bless until we meet again.
